SB20 – A SUPERIOR RACING YACHT
I’ve been racing the SB20 since 2009, after transitioning to this boat from the Melges 24. Over the years, I’ve found the SB20 to be a more forgiving and less physically demanding, making it accessible to sailors of all levels. It offers a competitive racing experience for youth, female and master teams within the same fleet. Tony’s design has truly created a level playing field for all, combining technical excellence with ease of handling.
You don’t need to have a large crew and there is no age limit — sailors can race into their 60s and beyond, enjoying any position on board, even on the bow. I enjoy sailing my SB20 with friends and family and equally against the world’s top sailing talent. After all these years my passion for the SB20 is stronger than ever, especially now that we’ve claimed the World Championship title!
