This year SB20 returns to the Solent where the fleet was first designed, tested and launched fifteen years ago. This highly competitive event will see 100 boats from over 15 countries descend on Cowes on the Isle of Wight, arguably one of the most historic and famous sailing venues anywhere in the world.

The event is organised by the world renowned Royal Yacht Squadron (RYS), the challenging club for Ben Ainslie Racing America’s Cup team which is widely known as one of the oldest and most prestigious clubs in the world.

“We very much hope that you will make full use of the facilities we can provide during the regatta. Onshore, boats will be moored together in Cowes Yacht Haven and social activities will be based in the Pavilion with spectacular views overlooking the Solent. Competitors are also welcome to book to enjoy dinner in the Castle during their stay.”

Christopher Sharples – Commodore RYS

The SB20 World’s will be an event for everyone with competitors and spectators treated to five days of challenging windward leeward racing, and the Solent providing the perfect backdrop for a World Championship in testing waters.

Aside from racing the RYS will be organising exceptional hospitality for those competing and spectating with a range of truly unforgettable parties, bound to make this a week to remember for competitors and supporters alike.
