The Netherlands SB20 Grand Slam will be held as part of the biggest sailing regatta in Holland, the North Sea Regatta, and is part of the inshore races held during Whitsun. The Hague/Scheveningen Port also hosted a special pit-stop during the last Volvo Ocean racing, and is the home of the Dutch Olympic training centre.
Racing will take place from Friday 13th to Sunday 16th May, 2016. On Friday racing will start on 1300, so crews will be able to launch in the morning before 1000 am. The port is just 30 minutes from Hoek van Holland, where there is a direct ferry to Harwich.
For the SB20 class there will be an additional social programme, including drinks after sailing and a class dinner. Every night the regatta enjoys live music and a wide selection of entertainment. There are many places to stay in the Hague, but for best prices make sure to book accommodation in advance.
More information will be available soon on www.nsr.nl and at the Dutch SB20 facebook page https://www.facebook.com/dutchsb20class/?ref=aymt_homepage_panel).
