Entries are pouring in for the 2015 SB20 World Championship, held this year at Torbole on Lake Garda from 4-10 July, with over 50 teams signed up so far and organisers confident of over 100 boats on the start line at the famous Italian lake venue.
The 55 entries at the Worlds so far include boats from Germany, Portugal, France, Australia, Britain, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, Ireland, the Netherlands, Russia and the Ukraine.
The event is being hosted by the Circolo Vela Torbole – which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year – with a packed program that includes an opening ceremony and welcome buffet, practice race, five full days of competition, a class gala dinner and prizegiving with crew party. Not forgetting that warning signals are scheduled for 1300hrs each day to allow for the classic Garda ‘Ora’ breeze to kick in, and for crews to enjoy their customary Italian lie-ins.
