The UK SB20 Committee decided that the London Dinghy Show would be the ideal location to promote the SB20 to the many dinghy sailors who might be looking to move up into Sportsboat sailing. With the J70, Viper and VX also on display, alongside some old favourites from the small keelboat world such as the Flying Fifteen, it was a great showcase for the latest arrival from Sportboatsworld. A dark grey deck and hull straight out of the White Formula factory was delivered straight to the show where it was met by a new set of smoke sails….many SB20 aficionados commented that it looked great!
Many thanks to all from the UK class who attended to help out on the stand and had the opportunity to meet Pippa, the new UK class secretary. Ado Peach managed to make both days as well as collecting his brand new boat at the same time. Thanks also to Tom Clay, Pippa, Andy Shaw and Joe Llewellyn (who stitched together a great SB20 footage compilation for the screen you see sitting on the foredeck of the boat). The show generated a mountain of enquiries for the upcoming open day on Saturday 5th April.
