Sailing Flying 15 and 1720 for the past 20 years. The crew sailed dinghies and Melges.
Which events are you planning to compete in during 2014?
Local Dublin Bay racing , regional Irish events , the Irish Nationals and the Worlds in Saint Petersburg .
Do you have a favourite SB20 sailing memory?
Successfully completing gybes in 35 knots of wind at Hyeres Worlds and seeing the mast and gennaker still flying.
Where is your favourite sailing location?
Have you sailed your SB20 there?
Not yet…My favourite SB location is Hyeres ,as you probably have gathered I really had fun at the Worlds.
If you could change one thing about the SB20, what would it be?
The dagger board is easy to get up and down but it always seems to get scratched no matter what I do, not sure of the solution.
What do you never go sailing without?
Serious answer safety gear and I always bring food / drink.
What was your best ever SB20 sailing day?
The day we went 22.5 knots at the Worlds in Hyeres. The water was everywhere and took a huge wave on board which washed the gennaker bag virtually out the back of the boat. More days like this please.
When you’re not sailing, what do you do?
Family things, watch rugby and oh yes nearly forgot work , yeh lots of that.
